Default K&N install issues

Nothing is ever easy! I got the new filoter in without a problem but then I ran into 2 problems putting it back together:

1. I got a little carried away on the gas tank bolts near the handlebars and sheared one off. The other is fine.

2. The FI light now comes on

I don't know what to do about either?!? Any advice?

2. Solved, I'm an idiot, forgot to plug the thing on the top of the air filter back in.

#1 is still a problem, I've only got one bolt holding the top of the tank on and the other is sheared. Does anyone know how to fix this or will one bolt do the trick?

You should always have all the bolts to your bike on your bike. They are put there for a reason. You can buy a tool at any hardware store to remove the broken bolt. I think its called an "easy out". You drill a small hole in the peice of bolt left behind, the easy out attaches to a ratchet, you ratched as if you were takingthe bolt out, the easy out bit goes into the bolt and eventually it starts to come out. Then just get a new bolt and put it back in.

+ 1 on easy out, if that doesnt work then you'll have to drill and rethread.
