just wondering on this please respond
The sound is normal. It has to do with the wet clutch I believe. This has been posted before. The loud clunk when shifting into first is nothing to be concerned with.
Yes kick standhas to be up when putting in gear or the bike will shut off. I never tried starting it in gear with the kick stand down but I would assume it wont start for the same safety reason.
I am pretty sure he is just asking about the clunk and not the kickstand cutoff. Anyway, if it clunks a lot or yanks forward when you put it in first, you need to adjust your clutch. Some clunk is typical and is usually worse when the bike isn't up to temp.
