RE: Just flipped the bike :-(......
ok 1st of all. do not buy your parts from the dealer. you will get raped on the price. there going to tell you somewhere around $2000 from the description you told us. ebay will help you find all the parts at decent prices, way better than the dealers. i would suggest looking in the classified sections of this site. and post on the wanted forum in classifieds. you will save alot of money this way. i actually have some of the **** you need. but go get your bike as soon as possible. you are already $150 in the hole.
2nd bikesandjeeps has a really good point. aftermarket stuff is always cheaper, way cheaper, and now seems to be the time to do it. buy some cool **** and come back stronger. oh yeah and like i tell everyone. buy a cage. you would have saved so much money

"the bikes not that bad I guess"
You guess? Not that bad? Dude you basically broke everything but the engine, frame and swingarm, I wouldn't consider that "not that bad". Sorry to hear about what happened dude but, what were you thinking? How long have you been riding? Is this your first bike?? You said dealer so I'm assuming it's an 06'??

RE: Just flipped the bike :-(......
the frame and swing arm didnt break. At least not that I could tell. mainly seemed like all plastic parts except the muffler was slightly dented and scratched and that mounting tab was bent. Im not touching that it can stay that way, just bend it back out. I'lll end up getting a slip on eventually. the side ferrings engine cases/stator cover or whatever werent even touched no scratches it end up on its side in the grass and did most of the falling in the grass. I guess i was too close to the curb which could be a good thing I guess.? [&:] Well i should hear back from the deal today sometime with their quote to fix it all. But I think I might just have them replace the digi speedo & tach whatever might be wrong with the handle left bar and the left rear set/ gear lever. then bring it home let it sit and replace the rest little by little on my own.
I have found a few OEM parts suppliers online. However they dont state anything about colors?? Do the stock replacement parts just come black and have to be painted and decaled or can you get the stock replacement parts already the color you need them??
Thanks for the help.

First things first: Glad to hear you walked away, it coulda been a lot worse.
Secondly: WHAT WERE YOU THINKING!?!?!
Like alekinci said, you shoulda done a little more reading about shifting these babies. I was just talking to my buddy about this yesterday as a matter of fact - he has a Kawi ZZR12 - how sometimes we don't shift enough to get from 1st to 2nd and you spike the rpms. And it happens more frequently when you're shifting at high rpms. From now on (and I'm sure you know now) either shift at lower rpms or if it hits neutral on accident, let the motor come down and re-shift.
Again, glad to hear you're OK... good luck fixing your new bike.
ORIGINAL: 06CBRF4i
I accelerated somewhat hard,, went to shift into second around 10-11k for some reason wouldnt go into 2nd only Neutral

RE: Just flipped the bike :-(......
My own personal first bike yea. But i grew up riding dirt bikes and have ridden my friends YZF-600 for the last 1.5 yrs pretty often b/c hes in the army and cant ride it that much.
Yea i know all about the not downshifting in high RPMs, but I think it all just happened so fast I wasnt really thinking right ya know.... I just wanted it to go into second but when it wouldnt instinctively i put it back in first. I think I'll stay away from the upper rpm's for a while. I just want to get my bike back in riding condition.
And might I add, I forgot how much it burns when u put peroxide on cuts/scrapes especially the ones on your knees. Havent had to do this since I was like 15!!
