Clutchless shift during a stunt? Not a stunter so I can't say with any authority but I'm still scratchin my head here. Again I can see the clutch jumping off the bike and running away from the insane owner.

No matter. like regener8ed said, with the tranny work that's still a good deal so long as that's all that's needed. I'd definitely demand the dealer guarantee their diagnosis and work tho.

I did ask the tech "So what if you were wrong and you just charged me $400 to take apart my bike? Or what if you guys fix the wrong thing? I don't want to pay for pointlessness". He assured me that this is what is wrong. So we'll see. Usually mechanics screw girls, sad but true. I took my boyfriend up there and he's been dealing with the tech also.

UGH I JUST WANNA RIDE MY ****ING BIKE!

sorry to hear about the tranny. it's otherwise a very nice looking bike (looks like mine). i know what it's like to get a bike in time to park it for winter. i got my bike almost a year ago (at the end of September), i got to ride like two weeks then had to keep it parked.

i hope they get it fixed quick for you. riding is very enjoyable.

Parking it for the winter just seems like such a sad option!!! I hope it's a mild winter because I'm determined!

So I have a question... knowing that I need my 3rd and probably 4th gears replaced because of this... is it bad to ride the bike?

I just called Honda and they won't even be getting to my bike until next week. Then they said the $800 they quoted me was for JUST the labor. The parts will be more. So we are talking grand total well over $1,000. ****ing great. So I paid $3,000 for it, put in $1,000 (but the previous owner did give me $400 towards it). And I can't ride it for a few weeks. I'm just pissed! This is bull!....

I wanna go up there and get the bike and at least ride it in lower gears or deal with the jerking for a week or so. By the time I get it, I won't have much time to ride! And where would I get a 2nd opinion at? I want the Honda guarantee but $1,000!??!!??!!?!?

I am just curious, I didn't see it in any of the posts unless I just missed it. Does the bike only jerk @ 4k in 3rd and 4th gear or does it do it in any gear at that RPM? The reason I am asking is, if it does it in any gear at that RPM it is not your tranny that is bad.
