So it's all done, I wouldn't recommend it to anyone unless you have patience. The reason why is because there instructions are not very clear nor are the pictures, but thanks to my buddies on here it was much clearer!!!!
Cutting is involved lol

In the end it looks really good, I like it. Don't plan on painting it, I think it looks good just stainless.

Glad you got it together. First time I've heard of having to drill anything on the actual kit itself. Mine went together like a perfect puzzle. ;-)

In another thread about the CWFE, I remarked about the signal brackets. The kit comes w/ the larger brackets that are designed for the original factory signals or aftermarket smaller sigs. However, I called CW & asked if they had smaller brackets, which they do. I got them & installed them on my kit for my aftermarket signals. You can see the smaller signal brackets on my CW. I'm now using much smaller LED signals w/ those smaller brackets.

Yea i'm glad it's together too....
So you have the hole where the key mechanism goes, in the hole there's like a slight notch there where on the key mechanism there is a piece on the side of it, the notches are suppose to match up. Well on the plate the notch was circular, on the key it was square. I hope that makes sense.

Looking at your other upgrade parts... I would also suggest the HotBodies LED front signals. They fit right into the detent of the bike's fairing. At their price-point they are good quality signals. Also, they can be wired to use as 2-wire-signal only or 3-wire signal & running lights.

Honda, 2001-03 CBR F4i, LED Blinkers, Hotbodies Racing

How-to here on forum to wire up as running lights as well...

So if I buy a smaller set of turn signals, I can't use the brackets that came with it?

As I said above, you can use for either. However CW makes a pair of much smaller signal brackets specifically for small LEDs.

I'd highly recommend the Proton flushmounts for the front signals! Love them on mine.
