Got A '04 F4i And The FI Light Has Recently Come On. The Battery Was Junk And I Heard That Could Cause It So I Bought A New One And Its Still On. Ive Installed A Power Commander And Mapped It Up, Also Installed A BMC Filter And A Yoshi TRS. Ive Heard Some You Guys On Here Have Had It Blinking Or Solid. Mine Is On All The Time. Any Ideas? Thanks

 

does your bike run? check your battery connection! if all else fails kick it... j/k dont do that

 

Yea Its Runs. Had It Out Today For Alittle While. Connections Are Clean And Tight. Im Just Worried If Its Running Lean. Dont Need Tha Goin On.

 

I believe, correct me if I am wrong, but since the old battery was junk it may have caused the FI light to come on. Putting a new battery in was the right thing to do, but I think you still have to clear the memory of the ECM to erase the fault in the FI system. I don't have my manual with me right now but there is a way to get to code to find out what the error message was then you can also clear it. Does anyone have any info on it?

I dont have a power commander but I thought that if you did the FI light is always on. Correct me if im wrong

 

I HAVE A POWER COMMANDER ON MINE AND THE FI LIGHT DOESNT COME ON.

 

See how many times the FI light blinks while the bike is still on the kickstand. Once your raise the kickstand the FI light stays solid so as not to distract you. While riding turn your bike completely off and then on again (do it while at a red light) to see if the light still comes on. After finding out how many blinks check the manual and troubleshoot your problem.

And please turn your caps lock button off or stop capitalizing EVERY first letter. It gets really annoying and irksome to read.
