Default RE: Idling Problems

Ok well i have been at work all day and i will start checking these things tomorow. I have found the plug that was in that picture. I can see that it is connected but i have not got the gas tank off yet so that i can check and make sure it is connected well.

I'm not exactly sure what you mean by "sitting up" but if you are talking about me not driving it much then.....I ride every day. Even when it was 20 outside i have been riding it at least to school and back

it's the throttle position sensor. this may come a little late and i'm not sure about it either, but you may have been able to check it without removing the tank by looking at it from the underneath somehow.

I have no idea what or where that is

Also i just took off my air filter and started it up without the air filter on there but my filter has some black stuff over on the left side of it. Could that be a problem.

o ok....well i checked that and it is connected good.....is it possible that i need a new throttle response sensor or a MAP sensor? Is there i way i can test to see if they are bad?

Also keep in mind that im a daily rider and it was working perfectly one day and then i was having these problems the next.

Thanks for all the help guys

well i fixed it finally...after 7 hours of working/reading. It was the map sensor after all.....all i did was disconnect it and blow it out with some compressed air and everything worked perfectly again.....i live in a really windy and dusty place so i guess it makes sense

thanks for all the help guys!
