I sure you get them all the time, but is this a good deal?

This bike sounds really familiar to a bike I looked at for sale here in Idaho, do you have pics of the bike?? The bike I was looking at was also used for track days and from what I heard (through a local forum that I'm in) he rode this bike REALLY hard!!

It is a ID bike. I don't have pics, but it's red and black. Originally I offered $3,000.00 for it, which I feel is more than fair for his bike as she sits, I told him that if he wants to return the bike to a more stock like condition he is free to do so and sell the extras for more money and I'd give him $2,000.00 depending what was on it. He seemed really offend and swears it's still worth $4,000.00 for it.
He's been trying to sell his bike for a month and hasn't reconsidered his asking price. I would love to give the bike a new home but can't justify the extra money for it.

$4k is way to much. Salvage title isn't a big deal, just test ride it at the very least. If he's not going to drop his price find another bike, just be aware that prices only are going to go up.

Just be patient. Once I had the money for my first bike I bought the first thing I could. I regret that a lot.

I just scooped up a MINT 01 f4i with new clutch, stator, seals, etc with a bunch of nice mods. the bike only has 5400 miles on it and I got it for $3600.

Be patient

There are much better deals out there I would walk away from this one, even in the middle of summer you can find a better deal then this on a clean title bike. Extras don't add much if any value to the bike. Walk away you will find a less abused bike for 3,500.

A year ago before the economy took a dump I bought a 2001 f4i with 30k miles in great shape for 2900 cash with a clean and clear title. You can find a much better deal then the one he is offering.

Yeah it sounds like the same one, I know he is really proud of that bike, and I heard from a few local people that he road that thing really hard.
