Is this a good deal?
1998 Honda CBR 900 RR
I could use your guys opinion, he'll deliver to my house, he's 3 hours away. He said it's mint except for the listed areas and was babied, well taken care of, runs flawlessly, etc...
He wouldnt go down at all, said he's firm at 3k. Need your insight!

Have not seen it in person yet... I wouldn't hand the cash over until I test drive it and give it a thorough look over.
Assuming it's in the shape he says and runs and shifts good, is 3k a good price? My first street bike (been riding dirt bikes my whole life), still new to the pricing and value of street bikes.
I was gonna get a CBR 600 but after test driving 6 of them... they're way too slow for what I want... I hate shifting 3 times to go 50.
Thanks for your help so far!!!

"This bike will stand up in 1st gear without the clutch."
"I have treated this bike like a baby and know the next owner will be happy"
Im not sure how you baby a bike when standing it up in first gear but it looks good and def low miles. I'd say meet him hlf way for $2800 lol

Not sure what 600's you rode......but they get up to around 70mph in 1st gear....
They were all older, 94s, 96s, etc... maybe it's me... lol. All of my friends have 750s or 900s, so I figured it'd be smart to be on the same level and everyone kept saying I'd want ti upgrade next year so I figured the price was right, why not just get a CBR 900 and be satisfied for a few years, you know?
Put aside my inabilities to drive the 600 effectively (new to street bikes), why not get a 900 over a 600? To me it seems the boost in power and performance is worth the price. That also takes into account the fact that all the 600's I've seen were 94 and 96's from 2500, to me 500 dollars more for a bike that is more powerful, outperforms, and holds better value makes perfect sense?
