I JUST GOT A STUNT BIKE FROM A FRIEND BUT IT HAS NO TITLE ITS AN 02 F4I AND ANOTHER FRIEND HAS AN 01 STUNT BIKE WITH A TITLE HE OFFERED TO TRADE ME HIS BIKE BUT WE WOULD SWAP OUT WHEELS AND BODY PARTS BUT HE WANTS A LITTLE BIT OF MONEY ON THE DEAL BECAUSE HIS HAS A TITLE AND HE WILL BE DOING THE WORK. IM JUST CURIOUS HOW MUCH CASH WOULD BE REASONABLE??? YOU GUYS HAVE ANY INPUT???

 

I would give em' 500 at the most depending on the condition of the two, assuming they are equivalent.

 

essentially you are buying a frame and motor.(on a 1yr older bike) plus paying somenone to do it. I think $500 is a decent number, if he's really a friend.

You cant buy titled frames for less than that

 

well my motor only has 1700 miles on it and i think his has close to 5000 he had said somewhere around $500 dollars but i didnt know what it would be worth but i do appreciate the input

 

**** that man. Where is the title. If the guy you got it from had it titled in his name than tell him to file for a lost title or to give you a bill of sale and get your own. Either way you are getting a way better deal than paying 500 bucks for someone to swap out all your parts for an older frame.

 

yeah, that is a good point. where is the original title? was the bike stolen, or salvaged, you cant tell me the guy just "lost" the title

Be careful. I almost bought a wrecked 05 GSXR 600 with Bill of Sale only but it turns out the guy that wrecked it didn't have insurance and sold it to his buddy who fixed it. Well, the original owner just stopped making the payments when he sold it and still owed like $6g's. I searched for a frame because he only wanted a grand for it and I could just trash the frame with the lein on it but at that price it went quick. I just hope someone doesn't get the bike repod after spending money on it. You can bet they are looking for it.

 

it probably was totalled at some point and that is why it doesnt have a title. if that is the case it is very hard to get it re-titled because it has to pass inspections from the state patrol. even then the title will be a salvage title.
