Oh joy, I just completed my motorcycle safety course yesterday. 18 hours of riding and it's still pretty damn cold in Ontario. I got home today, ready to go for a little rip...pull into the underground and..."where's my bike??"
Apparently someone felt that they deserved my bike more than I did so they took it! I've had it for a week, it was in a locked underground garage and I live in pretty nice area called Oakville. The bike was an absolutely MINT '01 F4i that I just put a Hindle slip on on with 6000mi.
I'm so effing pissed right now!!!!!!!!!!!!
Anyway, I just wanted to vent!

I know the feeling, I've had several mountain bikes stolen and all I wanted to do was catch the mof'k and deliver his well earned beat down

 

I guess I'm SOL...just waiting for the police to show up now.

No insurance?

I had someone I work with tell me about how his bike got stolen and he didn't have insurance. Some recreational scuba divers ran into it and notified the police! Sorry I hope your bike doesn't reach the same fate

 

But I have no idea how long it will take them to pay out. At what point do they decide it's not comming back? Also, I paid alot less than the book value for the bike so will they pay out the book value or what I paid? If it's only what I paid then I cant even replace it at that price!

 

they should pay you blue book which also goes with area. in some areas bike are priced differently. and usually i believe they write off bike faster then other vehicles. im no insurance expert but its what ive seen
