My buddy has a 2005 Gsxr 600 and i have my 06 F4i so i thought i should race him and see how the bike stacks up. The road was a little over a 1/4 mile so we said why not. Put it this way when i hit about 30 his lead was growing rapidly to the point when my powerband kicked in the lead was to great. he was about 2 lengths ahead when it happened. I stayed about the same behind him until his bike just over powered mine and ended up winning by 6 bike lengths. My bike is stock and his just has a two brothers slipon.Just thought id post my experience and to see if anyone else did some racing against some other makes.

 

ever think he just might be a better rider? I dont know the stats on those years but I thought they were pretty even.

 

your mid power should be better than his.you have to remember the start is everthing.once a guy gets a jump these two bike are so close in specs that thats all it takes.plus if you don't wind it out and power shift forget it a canatuna would be close?

 

I have no problem keeping up with my friend who rides an 05 750. My friend with the 05 600 I can pull on anyday, it's a riders race.

 

a buddy of mines with an F4i just slip on got pulled hard by the new R6...something like 20 bikes in the straights...

i got pulled by a 2007 Huffy 12 speed...but he only won by like 1/2 bike length.

 

i stay with my dads new 750....sometimes pull a little on him...but then again he does have 100lbs on me haha :P my only mods are a slip on and PCIII, hes stock but also i am by no means a good rider :P but im getting there [8D]

 

i got beat by a mustang the other day....1/4 mile race...launch was pretty close with me bein about 1 car ahead of him, then everytime he shifted he made up a little...he shifted 3rd gear and was right next to me...shifted 4th and started pullin away from me....kinda sucked...lol

im praying that you guys arent being serious about those reply's...anybody that thinks theres no way a car can beat a bike isnt very experienced in the automotive world...
