I was being sarcastic. My buddy just beat a new gixxer 600 with a old buick GN. I know better than to say a bike will always win.

Most of the kids at my college are like that. They think a bike will always win. If you've been to the dallas fort worth area there are 10sec street cars all over the place. I live in okla. though so there aren't nearly as many.

 

I'd have to say, though, that 99% of the highschool kids with their pathetically riced up civics do get burned. They think they can add a spoiler, exhaust, and a few aftermarket items under the hood and can whip a 600cc bike, bwaha.

 

Flip: it's all in the stickers.

 

Buick's and Civic's can only win with a polished plastic spinners and a new muffler bearing and fluid!

 

I woldn't say buicks. My buick has no emblems or stickers and can give 600's a run for their money if they cant ride.

 

and don't forget the color, a good black paint job will add 10-15 hp easy

 

9 times out of 10 a bike will win a straight race. you have to have a lot of horsepower or a ****ty rider to beat a bike. I dont care what you have. If you dont get a good launch with a car and have a good amount of horsepower, you arent going to win unless you come across inexperienced riders.

With that Mustang thing. It better have been a cobra or something cause anything else and you should have won that race.

 

There are plenty of cars that can beat a bike. Well, they are not very common, but a 500hp car with some moderate transmission and suspension work with decent tires will give an average 600cc rider a run for their money. I am sure that a new Vette at 530HP will keep up with some bikes, as would a Viper, Porsche or a turbo/supercharged-mustang.

The problem with a car having a lot of HP is that it needs a way to put it to the ground or else it just spins the tires while you sneak away.
