you also gotta remember...most 600cc riders, especially on the street, can only muster low 11 second passes....

and yes the mustang i raced is a bad machine....347 on spray....et streets...nasty car...

Anything on the road that can do a 10-11second quarter miles will give you guys a run for your money. American, European, Gsxr, or Zx; it does not matter what that point. It then comes down to your ability to keep track of engine speed (either by rpms or sound) and shift quickly. I Know on my bike I have to hit that 2nd gear mad hard at high rpms, so it makes a bit of time difference atleast for me.

 

Its the take off, If you get a good take off on a bike than the cars arent going to keep up with the bike. Im sure bikes can take off much faster than most cars out there.

 

not true...run down to your local track and check out the 60' foot times of some of the bikers down there...you can easily 60' a decent car on a drag radial in the 1.80's-1.90s.....on my best run on my R6 (which was better than most i've seen) was a 1.84'...

so the 60' is right there...and like i said, the mustang i raced was chasing me down and kept pulling away when he hit 4th gear...

 

I'm scared to race. I'd probably rev it too high before take off and wheelie and crash. My bike is slow or maybe I'm just too heavy for it. I need a 1000RR instead of an f4i I think. I'm a big guy 6'1" 225lbs maybe I'll become bulimic and lose 30 lbs then it will be fast. lol

the gsxr has about 15 more HP's then our F4i and is a lighter bike, but hey... it's a ****zuki so who cares.!

 

haha...nope, wasnt image....his car hasnt been out yet this year...keeps having problems....

 

I agree that it's in the launch. I got beat of the line by an old school Gix6. True it had moderate work done, but the rider was good off the line. He was scared to take it to the line at the light and I got there first with more braking confidence. I Beat the 'Busa too (YEAH!!!). We also had another F4i rider and a Zx6 w. a 9's motor. So I guess that means I won my first street race, line to line.
