Default I dont understand???

well as alot of u guys know i totalled my bike and when the adjuster called i asked how much it was to buy the bike back from em and he said in the state of illinois it must be at least 9 yrs old before they would sell it back but i didnt ask any questions, but i wonder y that is. well just some info for the illinois riders.[sm=dontgetit.gif]

well then ask them how you can go and be in on the biding for it when it sells?they will sell it it will have a salvage tag on it now and will go for about 1/3 the value.

in Illinois you cannot purchase a bike with a salvage title except for use as parts. They will not give you a title for a totaled bike. See here http://madmanbiker.com/ scroll to the bottom they explain it.

well that what my plan was, to keep it for parts or part it out to u guys and ebay, i wasnt gonna try and fix it but they tod me it had to be 9 yrs old to be able to buy it back. i dont need the title.

Tell them you don't want to buy it back, you just don't want to turn it over to them. Tell them to deduct the salvage value from your payout.

Probably won't work but it's worth a try.
