Default Hey Guys could this be my problem

Hello I have a 03 f4i and I have just changed the plugs... K& N air filter and erion exhaust .... It has a strong smell of gas. I havent noticed it coming out of the tail pipe but its bad enough to make me smell like gas when I ride it. Oh and it sometimes sputters in first when I get on it for a sec. .... seems to do fine on the other gears and past 6k on the tach... any ideas ... thanks

Hi Everyone,

This is a great thread and a great write-up! One thing that I don't fully understand is how a faulty FPR can cause a (false) MAP sensor error code.
My girlfriend has an '01 F4i (probably still the xxxx31 FPR) with 2 blinks from the Fi light and that amd me think. This bike -AFAIK- doesn't have an O2 sensor (European model), so how could the ECU know the bike's running rich/lean?

If i remember correctly the vacuum line doesn't run to anything, ran mine out the bottom of the bike.

Old thread that keeps coming back, but good info is always timely.

My 02 F4i runs strong, gets 38-42 city/freeway, and idles well both cold and warm over that last two years and 10K miles I've had it. For as long as I've had it, the exhaust has always smelled of gas at idle, warm or cold. I have no clue as to how old the fpr is. (It would seem to me that the fpr is fine as I would expect it to develop progressively worse symptoms over time which it hasn't.) Does the F4i just run rich at idle or is there an adjustment/repair that it needs?

Change it. FPR and CCTL are the ones must change for F4i new owner

Is it true that 93-94 Accord CIVIC share the same FPR ?

Fuel Pressure Regulator 07 Newer Honda BF75D 90 75 HP Freshwater 16740 ZY9 003 | eBay

Fuel Pressure Regulator DS1198 Honda Civic 16740P05A01 FP10357 412202105R 3BAR | eBay
