How do I adjust headlight level? [+HID pics]
Hey guys... I just got my HID's installed for my low beams and high beams. .
For those who are curious... the brand is McCulloch, they're 6000K, H7's.
Well I love these lights, they're really bright and white. Maybe a little tinge of blue, but barely noticeable. Problem is that the low beam is shining out everywhere and aimed a bit high. It's blinding everyone.
Question is: how do I adjust the low beam height so it points more down? I wouldn't mind doing it for the high beam also to make it exactly like a low beam. I'd rather have 2 low beams instead of running 1 low beam at night only.
Diagrams would be useful.

Do you have some down the road or wall shots? Like this? How do you flash your high beams with a HID high beam ??? Did you compare a stock H7 bulb to your HID H7 kit?
The problem with most HIDs in Halogen reflectors is that 1) the bulb of a HID is an arc tube, and a halogen bulb is a filament (different size/shape) and 2) that they aren't even in the same spot, i.e. are too far forward or backwards to line up properly, like this pic explains:

wow thanks for the info guys. didn't notice that about the bulb sizes... i'll definitely check it out.
and about the pics. I can take pics of my HIDs against a wall and on the road at night. But since I didn't take pics of my stock H7's (I should have... damnit!), I'll get on my friends bike and take a pic to at least compare how much brighter the light is.

Pictures don't do a good job for determining brightness, because the camera adjusts to compensate... But a pattern is useful, to show if it's making use of the reflector correctly. Try moving the HID bulb bacwards and forwards and see if it changes the beam pattern, might just need to shim it back a tad.
