Hey guys

Recently bought an 02 f4i and since purchased the high beam indicator lights always been on and the high beam was lit with key on, not the low beam. The high beam switch would then control the low beam. For the time being ive swapped plugs around on the bulbs so not to flash everyone.

my question is how much does that headlght relay do? mines missing. what I found underneath was this



I bought a cheap 4 pin replay that fits the oem plug, but looking at the servie manual it's not the right relay. I think its supposed to be an omron g8ms-h68. is this relay special compared to others? would this wiring mishap be supplying power to the wrong circuit? I can pull one wire from the plug so only only light is lit, but the indicator light will stay on.

Thoughts? please?
