Default HID's review

So some of you have the HID's and some have not. I put mine in this last winter and haven't really had much experience to see how they look and feel while riding.

I have ridden during the day but didn't really get a feel of the brightness. So it was so so.

This weekend I went out riding and it was warm enough to ride once the sun went down. So this was my really first ride at night with HID's.

I should have taken a photo, maybe next time. The headlights are so bright and I can see so much farther. If you have a tinted faceshield and have it down, its harder to see thru at night. With the HID's, its clear as ever.

Now for the good part. I was out on a county highway (paved) and I had my brights on!!! Whoaaa!!! They are so bright that I had cars and trucks flashing their brights at me for me to turn mine off.

This is probably one of the best mods I have done on my bike.

I agree, my favorite done so far as well. Best appearance mod w/ the best possible function. Plus it is way too easy, and cheap. I got my 8k lights, 2 slim ballasts, igniters and such for $100 shipped from starrotors.com. My camera doesnt pic up the light very good and it doesnt all show up. Name: HPIM0311.jpg

Thats not too bad of a photo. But a person really needs to see it in person to really appreciate the HID's.

If you guys think 8000K is bright, try a set of 4300K's like I have... it makes 8000K look like Pep Boys blue painted bulbs.

And yes, I'm a huge fan of HIDs- best money you can spend on the bike. You can see further and be seen better. I figure if they're flashing their high beams, at least they know I'm there.
