Wondering if anyone has put an HID in their 02 F4i?? Looking to throw an HID in mine but with the dual headlight, not sure if I should do both or just the low beam one and get a standard xenon bulb with the same K rating just for flashing high beam. Since the high beam would rarely be used with the HID on, seems pointless to put it in both! Anybody done this mod, ideas are greatly appreciated!

 

When you buy the HID kit, it comes with 2 ballasts and 2 "bulbs". Its very easy to install. So I would just place both of them.

 

The sell both a single and double kit. With the double kit though because the hi will run off the switch, will it be less effective and die sooner because the bulb doesn't actually have time to "warm" up since it would only be used to flash motorists if needed. A few people here I talked too said to switch the lo and just get a regular xenon to replace the high! As long as the k ratings are the same when the high is needed they would look the same.
