Turning your high beam off at night in the presence of other drivers is the law, regardless of what state you're in. Please don't use your high beams at night when around other drivers.

Do you realize you actually increase your chances of getting hit by running high beams at night? You're shining a very bright light directly into the eyes of oncoming traffic. I'm sure you've been on the other end of that at some point, with the brights of a car or bike right in your face. The FACT is that person's vision is severely decreased. And due to the natural reactions of the human body, they're going to look in the direction of your bike because that's the only thing they can see. And have you ever heard of target fixation?

I'm not concerned with your safety, I'm concerned with the innocent motorist who can no longer see what's in front of them because your headlights are in their face. Be a defensive driver and put yourself in the best situation possible for avoid any accidents, and you'll have consistent safe nighttime driving.

well from what i have been told my light are bright but not in there face it does not blind them unless i go in to a small wheelie or under hard acceleration. for some reason the high beam is pointed down more.

Thats because you're riding with your high beams!
