Stephens -

I just ordered the same kit as you. Do your HID's turn on when you turn the key or does it wait for the bike start. I see that it says

"When the car/motorcycle is
running low power or overheating, Our
HID kit will shut down the ballast to prevent
damage to the car/motorcycle."

on the site but i am unsure of what the cut off is. It would be nice if they didn't turn on til the bike was running.

My low beam comes on right away, and the high beam takes about 3 seconds to come on. I ride with my high beam on during the day time so people can see me. But now that I have the HID setup I probably won't be riding with my high beam on during the day now.

To prevent overheating? I don't see how it can overheat since they only run at 35 watts. The ignitor produces 20,000 watts of current to fire the bulbs and the ballasts maintain the power. And you have fuses in your bike as a secondary safety measure.

are you talking about the hids drawingto muchcurrent so you'd have issues with starting the bike?

if you worried about that, tripage makes a head light delay which i think it adjustable up to 15 secs or something like that...

Oh the amperage draw for starting the bike. The light isn't at full strength when it first comes on. It does have to warm up a bit, but I have never had any issues with my bike starting and I still have been starting it with this cold *** weather. Not riding, just starting. Lol

Hey Stephens. Everythings sounds good so far about the HID, but what if the bulbs get burnt out, broken, or whatever? Can you replace just the bulbs or do you have to buy the whole setup from the same guy on ebay?

You can buy new HID bulbs, they are about 30 bucks a piece.
