Default HID Relay wiring diagram

Hi.

Does anyone knows how to wire a relay for each HID ballast?? I found a week ago a diagram and i installed the relays that way, but last night i reinstall the headlights and they turned on but after 5 minutes i tried to turn on the Hi beam and they suddenly turn off, both lights.

Now i cant make them to turn on, i dont know whats grong...

This is the diagram that i use..

It's a really standard automotive relay wiring diagram. Take it apart, retrace your connections and make sure they're all correct and solid, and see if that helps.

For what it's worth, I don't use any relays on the motorcycle. Just plug the ballast into the standard headlight harness.

Just out of interest: how big wires are you using (mm2) I`d put around 2,5mm2 or bigger wires to ensure proper flow. That diagram is correct. If turning the hi beam on shut them both then you probably popped a fuse due to incorrect of bad connection or worst case scenario shorted and fried your ballasts.

So either the wire was too thin or there was a bad connection, the latter being the more probable reason. Glad you got it working, but just to check, did you put a fuse to the wire that comes from the battery to the relay and on to the ballast? If not then you should, right next to the battery to avoid any damage, a fire even if the wire shorts for some reason.

Yeah, i put a fuse right next to the battery, its a 20 amp fuse. Here is a picture of my relays installation...

And i must say that its better to put relays when you install HID, on my other bike i didnt have relays and there was some flickering issues...
