lol it contradics nothing. The big refelector bowl is tranditional halogen low beam. The small, round, smooth reflector bowl is HID high beam.
yeah but u did it to get fed, i on the other hand got no insentive to go outside and into my freezing snow covered car
I'll tell you what if you can somehow prove to me that I am completely ignorant and that the low beams on the cl's are not hids, i will drive my *** up to michigan and take you out for pizza

Are you, perhaps, incorrect? I think a picture would prove one of our points. BTW, I'm not recommending exiting your warm establishment for the brutish cold of Michigan, but I went for some of the best pizza in SW MI an hour ago and took a cold car down some icy roads to get it. Cojones. Comprende?
yeah but u did it to get fed, i on the other hand got no insentive to go outside and into my freezing snow covered car :P

why don't you just google "bi-xenon e46" ? you will get pleanty of hits without me having to go out
Thanks, but I don't believe you. Why? Because the e46 bi-xenon headlamp only has one xenon ballast.... for the low beam. I've seen enough of them to know.

That auction should be what yours look like when on low beam. If you notice, the high beam bulb is a standard halogen. How do I know? Because HID bulbs are longer and do not possess that colored end. Bi-xenon does not mean high and low are xenon.

http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/05-BM...QQcmdZViewItem

On the above auction, there is only a place for one balast on the bottom of each headlamp. Again, and I can't make this any clearer, it is only a low beam HID light. Your outer bulb is HID but the inner high beam is not.

lol just look up what bi-xenons do on google if you don't belive me........ christ lol

"Bi-Xenon Headlights refers to HID (High Intensity Discharge) Xenon headlights that offer both low (dipped) and high (main) beam lighting from a dual headlight system (as opposed to a quad headlight system)."

I was right. There is only a shutter system equipped on Bi-xenon cars that reduces the height of the low beam when only on low beam (the only HID bulb). The high beam is a standard halogen that serves as a supplement. One balast, one HID bulb, and only one ignitor per headlamp. If you look on youtube, you can see a vid of the e46 shutter system in action. You have bi-xenon, but it's only a shield on the low beam to keep it from blinding other drivers. On high beam, the entire lamp is exposed along with the supplemental halogen.

nope the halogen never goes on when the xenon does.

Technically, we're both correct. If you read down on the page, an M3 owner comes on.

hahha BS! al OEM HID headlights are designed w/ projectors.
Actually they are not,you are wrong.I work for toyota and alot of our cars have regular light housing ,except they use HID bulbs.THe only difference in the two housings is the HID one has room for the HID ecu to mount to it..

AS far as HID's on a bike. After reaiming mine ,i dont get flashed ,they dont have anymore "glare" after reaiming than any hid car on the road..Period. Ive been "blinded" by a factory hid cars(mainly because they careless where the lights are aimed).

Ive tried the sliverstars, piaa and stock.Nothing compairs to the light on the road like HID's.If you ride at night ,hids all the way.If you MIGHT ride at night, any bulb will be good for you.

4 fellow riders at work were HID glare BLAhBLAh BLAh..Funny after seeing my lights and how great they worked..ALL of them bought kits..

technically only i am correct. I never argued i do not have a halogen flash to pass. I said i have HID high and low beam. Flash to pass is not high beam when i turn on my high beams my halogens never turn on.

Furthermore it's the shutter in the projector that causes the "cut off" on HID, thus like i said if you put HID in regular halogen bowls it's like running your light lights on constant HIGH beam which blinds other drives and will fetch ya a tic.

I haven't gotten a ticket or pulled over for my HIDs, or yet anyway lol... The low beam housing keeps it down pretty good, although high beam is pretty much all over the place haha.

Not if you aim them properly. Why didn't my STi blind people? Why don't Acura TL's blind people? They are aimed properly. They will only blind other drivers if they are not aimed downward sufficiently.
