Default Hid lights

Hey all

I have an 01 Honda cbr f4i. My main light is currently a blue HID. If I wanted to replace the bulb with a bright white bulb. Can I do that or do I have to buy a completely different kit? I would also like to replace my high beam as well. Again, can I go as simple as a bulb replacement or do I need a kit? If anyone could get back to me. I would really appreciate it...

Nick

so what bulbs do you have in your bike? do you have a blue tinted halogen or do you have an arc lamp type with a ballast, that burns so bright it is in the blue spectrum?
you can buy replacement HID's that would be lower color temperatures. i think your first order of business is to see if you have HID's or the stock h7 halogens.

You can buy just a 4300K bulb or something and that will give you a more white color, but if you want to change your hi beam as well, you should just buy a 'car' kit with 2 bulbs/ballasts. Save the extra ballast in case one fails on you.

The main bulb in that picture is not an HID, It is a halogen.

The bulb peeking out from the left is an HID bulb.

The HID has 2 wires with harnesses coming out from it. Would I need to buy the bulb with wires and harnesses attached? Or can that bulb be changed out...

You need a bulb with the wires. Those bulbs usually aren't removable. And that bulb has to have the same connectors as your current ballast (unless you want to cut/resolder).
