Default Hesitation in first gear?

i have an 02 F4i with 9600 miles
just recently i notices a bogging/ hesitation in first gear.

when slowly let out the clutch and give it full throttle, i hear a clank, then it boggs down at first, then gets going 2 seconds after.
I took it to a shop and they seemed pretty dumbfounded by the problem.

what can this be?

thanks

I get the same problem on occasion, but I don't have any clanking sounds. Kind of feels like it's not getting any gas right then all of a sudden just takes off?

I've done the fpr, spark plugs, and air filter. I'm wondering if it's a clogged injector. I've run seafoam through a couple times, but it still happens randomly.

Mine kinda bogs a little in low rpm in 1st gear. I have a know and slipon so I think a power commander will solve the issue. But no rush. Bike runs fine

I don't know about the clank, but I had a similar problem after I replaced my fpr. Turned out I had torn a tiny hole in the fuel line going into the fpr when I took the line off. I rode it for a while like that and it only bogged down/hesitated in 1st gear. After I found the problem and replaced the line it has been fine ever since.

so the clank was that one of the spark-plug caps not seated properly... i still have a bit of hesitation..
i replaced the plugs at the same time... clank is gone, but i still have a bit of hesitation.
i do have a two brothers pipe.. so it could be that.

thats actually your ignition coil not the cap, does the bike smell at all? while running, after sitting in a garage, etc?
mine kinda smells of gas and recently started bogging at low rpm's in first.
i ran alot of fuel injector cleaner through it so im going to start with the plugs, i bet they are white and nasty.
