Default Help w/ winter storage!

Hello, this is my first time storing my bike for winter, I hear alot of different methods to prep it for the winter what should i do? Also I have a 2003 cbr 600f4i and have noiced there are not spots to put a spool on for the lifts over the winter. Is there a way to get spools wholes on it or what should i do. I have the lifts but cant use the back one without the spools... Thank you!

Kind of depends on where you live and where you store your bike. I live in the moderate climates, so I don't need to worry about my bike freezing, luckily. You should put your battery on a tender, so it is good for next spring. Some people just hook the tender right up to the bike, but I prefer to take the battery right out. You should also fill your fuel tank right to the top. This will help prevent condensation forming in the tank, which means water in the fuel. Adding a healthy dose of fuel stabilizer helps too. You should run your bike for a few minutes with the fuel stabilizer to make sure it gets into the injectors.

As for the spools, there was a thread on it.

Spool mounts can either we welded up or rivnuts/inserts can be installed via drilled holes in the swingarm. Neither is necessary w/a rear stand that lifts w/ pads from underneath the swingarm.

Check this link for installation for method mentioned above... Adding Swingarm Spools to the 929

As for storing it over winter...
Keep your battery on a battery tender to keep it charged.
Keep a full tank of gas. You can use a fuel stabilizer if you wish.
Recommend keeping it on stands to keep the tires from flat spotting.
