Question Help: Reserve light wont come on

Hi all,
I'm new to the forum, i own a 2007 F6i (european model) - should be the same as a 2006 F4i.
Yesterday i had a problam with my main light - i didnt come on while switch was turned on, the pass light worked, and the only way to turn on the main light was pressing the pass light and turning on the high beam.
long story short, went to the dealership and after four hours they found a wire disconnected in the right switch assembly.

today i was riding the bike when i ran out of gas and the reserve bars didnt come on.

a short look in the manual and i did the following tests.
1) check that when turning ignition switch on the bars turn on - they do.
2) check side stand switch - working (cuts off the engine when in gear).
3) speed sensor connected - i have a reading.
4) fuel pump working - when turning ignition it starts and after a while stops.

clueless here and dont want to bother myself to the dealership again.
has anyone encountered this problam before?

thanks.

P.S.
Sorry if my spelling/English is bad, it's not my native language.

I kinda experienced something like that. I was low on gas with the reserve indicator on before I took the battery out to replace it. Took me about a week to get a new battery. When I installed it, the reserve indicator did not come on.

Cause I knew I was low ln gas I went straight to the gas station. The reserve indicator worked normally from there on.

Just make sure you do a complete fillup and track your miles. Assuming the worst gas mileage, you should be thinking about visiting a gas station around 100 miles or so if you don't get a reserve indicator. Fill up around then and note both how much it took and figure out the mpg.

If she took enough gas that the reserve light should have come on, you'll need to know your mpg to avoid pushing her while we figure out the problem
