Default Undertail/Battery Tray

So a few weeks ago I made a thread talking about an undertail and the integrated tail light. Basically I bought the bike used and it had a modified undertail which looked like this.

Size: 57.1 KB

I then bought this tail light to install inside of it.

This was the outcome after almost 5 hours of brain storming with some buddies and some beers we proceeded to cut the undertail and the lights out and re wire everything.

It doesn't match up but a pretty good knock off for less then $30. I'm still looking for an undertail/battery trey I think that will hold the stock tail light as my plastic piece that would hold the original tail light has been completely cut off and there is no bracket for the two bolts that hold the tail light in. Like in this picture.

Nontheless this is what it looks like now.

Basically my question is where can I get an undertail that will fit that so i don't have to cut and will I need to buy a new battery trey to have that bracket in the second picture so both bolts for the light can screw back in and hold it there?

If not I will be doing a 954 or 929 converstion as I like both tail lights!

Thanks and sorry for HUGE wall of text.

The CompetitionWerkes Fender Eliminator retains the OEM tail light - secured w/ brackets. Its quality stainless steel kit. The kit is integral w/ the OEM battery tray...i.e. - structural w/ the tail (rock solid). The OEM tray is trimmed back & the CWFE bolts to it.

Since you already have one of my pics above, I'll add another one mine w/ the CWFE ;-) ...

How far back is your OEM tray cut? You're going to need as much as you see in my pic to attach the CWFE to it.

So basically that CWFE removes the undertail and it puts in the metal one correct? If so I'm buying one right now!

You can see from my pics that the CWFE attaches to the cut back OEM battery tray w/ hardware included w/ the kit.

I have more pics of the install. If you need them or any help, please feel free to email me. :-)
