I was trying to move my rubber air duct so I could get access to the radiator fill cap.

I ended up taking the whole rubber duct off from the air box.

How do I connect the rubber ducts to the airbox again? Do I need some kind of sealant? I noticed some residue on the sides of the rubber duct where it should connect to the airbox.

The part # for the piece of the rubber duct I'm talking about is 17251-MBW-D20 connected to the air box part # 17221-MBW-A11

 

Mine slid in with some force. If u look at it, there's a groove that the air box slides into

 

I got mine to connect to the airbox.

I was wondering if there was some kind of sealant that I had to use too because there's some black/brown residue that's on the rubber duct that might be some kind if sealant or glue.

Does yours have it too??

 

Yes it had some glue but I just left it as is
