Hi

Not sure if this is the right section .. Someone please redirect me if not

I purchased my 2006 cbr600f a fortnight ago and have ridden everyday since as it is my commuter and its great!

Yesterday though when joining the motorway I was accelerating down the slipway when what can only be described as the engine cutting out very briefly ..scaring the living s out of me as it jolted when this happened the "Fi" light flashed but I'm not sure if this is just because of it "cutting out"?

The bike continued to run but was lacking a hell of a lot and now it seems to struggle above 7k revs ... Any advice on trouble shooting this ??

My first thoughts are changing plugs, air filter and maybe some injector cleaner but thought I'd ask first?

I don't have much background info on the bike but it has 25k on the clock and up until yesterday ran faultless

The bike still starts and idles fine as far as I can tell

Any help much appreciated

Jack

Fuel regulator valve, fuel injector, residue in fuel tank, clogged fuel filter, ignition coil about to fail, etc... take our pick.

Done a code search and got error codes 2 and 23?? Which after a search I think are faulty MAP sensor or ECT?? and faulty 02 sensor

Apparently the map sensor error could be linked to fuel pressure regulator

So ill check both of these and see how I get on

I am honestly not sure if this is helpful or not, but I just thought I'd make sure you saw it since both you and Corner Carver seemed to describe a VERY similar problem...

So if you haven't already seen it this thread might have some things to try:

Good luck in your troubleshooting...
