Headlights Dont Work!!!

No headlights and gas gauge
I just bought a 03 cbr f41. The headlights don't work at all and the screen is blank where the gas gauge should be.
I knew it had these issues when I bought it.
I was riding today and hit a good bump, the lights and gas gauge started working perfectly for a few hours a and then stopped working again, without hitting any bumps.
Checked the fuse already
The highbeam light does not come on either, but it did for a while after hitting the pothole.
From the posts it looks like maybe a bad ground, or starter switch box (whatever that is)
If anyone could tell me where to find such a box it would be much appreciated. I will probably check the ground wires first.

If your lights work after you hit a bump you obviously have a loose connection somewhere. Check the starter switch box for a loose wire as stated. You say you don't know where to find it?? well hmmmm...
To start your bike and get your starter to click on, you insert the key and then turn the key, then you press the starter switch with your right thumb....find it yet?? remove the 2 screws from the bottom and open it up, you'll see 4 wires soldered onto a very small panel, i bet one of them is hanging loose.
Also F4is don't have fuel guages. only 4 reserve bars. Use your trip odo to keep track of miles.

Lights don't work!
Thank you for the quick reply but I was too busy to follow up.
I took apart the switch box today and everything was fine. No bad connections.
Still have no headlights or gas meter. Taillights and turnsignals are led aftermarket and work fine.
So obviously a loose connection somewhere...

No lights or gas meter!
I was mistaken it is the 7 prong black connector. More specifically the yellow/red wire, which from the wiring diagram goes to the "starter switch box".
Great job with the diagnosis, and thank you for the quick reply on my first post. I will try to keep the stupid questions to a minimum.

F4i's are notorious for loose connections in the starter switch box. (when u press the starter switch the headlight turn off to save power). Take the two screws out from the bottom of the box on the clip-on and open it up. You'll see 4 wires attached to the black starter switch. Most likely one of the solders has popped off. Just solder it back on but be careful not to do more damage to other connections. There is very little room in there so use a fine tipped solder gun.
If just one wire pops off it will disable both lights from working but your front turn signals and running lights should still be working.
