Post headlight

so, on the 05 f4i's in canada, is there supposed to be only the right bulb lighting up on low beam and both (left and right) on high beam?

or is this the case on all bikes with twin housings?

My 02 is like that.. my left (if your sitting on the bike) is the low beam and the right is the high beam. The low beam stays on when the hi beam is on.

so, what sort of an impact would this have on the installation of hid kits? or perhaps what would the functionality be like?

many do it to their f4is and love the results. hid usually produce a brighter more pureish looking light and help in visibility in low light conditions you still have your low beam and high beam with these kits

^I love the terminology you used "pureish"

But he is right. The light produced by your bike stock is considered to be "yellow" in comparison to a "white" light produced by HID's. (Colors are opinion based, however I'm not an idiot, and can tell you straight)

The housing are also different, but for example, I run a 6000 kit, which produces (debatably) the "whitest" light. I have no need to run my high beam, and when I do, solely provides slightly more light in front of me, while primarily just lighting up the right side more.
