Thanks for the advice. I checked at the battery and ran 14.8 to low 15's. when checking at the light connectors at idle I was 15.8 and up. Looks like it is time for a new reg/rec. Found a new OEM and it's in the mail.

Hopefully this was the only issue and explains why it went out so quickly and started frying bulbs with no warning. Looks like the Reg/rec wasnting shunting anything at all.

Anyone have any advice on getting to the upper connector for the regulator? I can reach the lower connector from the stator, but the connector to the main harness is invisable. I can feel it but not well enough to get it released. Can this be done from the ecu side perhaps, or do i have to remove tank, airbox, throttle bodies to access it?

To get to the RR you have to remove the seats and tail fairing. Its a very simple swap once you get the plastic tail off

I can get to the R/R. I was more talking of tracing the harness. I can access the plu to the stator, but i wondered if there was an easy way or procedure for getting to the plug that goes to the main harness. currently it is wedged between the frame rail and airbox.

Is there a way to get this upper connector released and plugged into the new one? I am sure someone has had this experiance before. I am looking for a procedure to avoid removing the tank, airbox, throttle bodies to access the 2nd connector.
