I've not posted the install online yet, but I've posted all of the previous wiring projects here:

In this picture you can see the mount point of my GPS just in front of the tank bag.

I used a 3" ram mount arm, 2 of the diamond shaped ball mounts, and my GPS specific mount.

I took the front too bolts off my gas tank. Put one ball there... the shape of it's base (diamond) didn't quite fit so I used my grinder to shave off the bottom edge of the diamond. I then elongated the mount holes with my drill. I push the tank bolts through the mount, and retightened them on the bike.

The rest was easy - attach the other ball mount to the GPS mount. Then put the 3" arm onto the bike's ball, and then put the gps mounts ball into the top of the arm. Position it so you can see the GPS nicely, and tighten it down. Have not touched it since I installed it.

Here is the base I meant:

http://www.ram-mount.com/CatalogResu...5/Default.aspx

Product Number: RAM-B-238U
Your Price: $6.04

See how the middle part is wider than the edges where the bolt holes are... I shaved that down with the grinder to fit between the tank and triples.

This is probably the arm I used... mine was 3" long.

Product Number: RAM-B-201U-SN1
Your Price: $27.28

So now all you need to do is find your GPS on the ram mount page... get its specific mount... and make sure you pick up a ball to go on that mount, to connect to the arm listed above.

In my case it was a nuvi 360,
http://www.ram-mount.com/CatalogResu...5/Default.aspx

Product Number: RAM-HOL-GA21U
Your Price: $9.42

That GPS mount tells you that you need a ball for it... so I brought a second diamond plate listed above.

Total cost ~$50 + shipping + GPS, but totally worth it if you plan on riding any distance.

Just joined the site. Looking for a way to mount a Nuvi 680 to a 1996 CBR600 F3. Not a lot of room to securely mount it. Thought about just suctioning it to the tach glass, but on a tight turn, the front-brake fluid reservoir hits the side of it.

These are some great suggestions, and will trying a few of them in the next couple of days. Only have a couple weeks before I leave on the trip the GPS is intended for.
