Default got pulled over, plate illuminator???

I got pulled over for not having a license plate illuminator. (got a warning)
The officer told me that I need to put some kind of light to illuminate the plate.
I bought this as a used, and I think the previous owner cut the plate holder.
But, I don't think original plate holder has an actual light...
How am I going to fix this so I don't get pulled over again? (I see the same officer a lot near my house)

yeah, you have a lot of quick easy options like buying led single light and drill middle top of bracket (like the one on this FE) or like pg mentioned buy light bolts etc... there are many other choices but here's one I bought mine from.

That's what I used for a long time... worked great! Only about $20 or so at one of my local bike shops. After I did the tail swap the LED integrator taillight had a built in license plate light (3 white LED's that pointed down from the bottom part of the taillight lens) and that worked great for awile, but then quit working for some reason or another. I need to get another taillight anyways, it was doing some whacky stuff.

But yea the lighted bolts or just one of those LED blocks stuck on there, whatever will work

Your wiring for your plate bulb (and the bulb socket) is probably still there tucked underneath. Get a fender eliminator from competition werkes so you can get rid of that hack job the previous owner did to your fender. It'll look 100% better and you'll have a licence plate light.

Thank you guys!
I just ordered a pair of LED bolts from 1tail.com... I hope wiring is easy (me no good w/ electronic...)
I still should have old wires inside? If not, can I just splice wires of the taillight?
Thanks all, I need to fix this quick, because I'm a night rider (I'm a newbie scared of cars)
