local leos have been working on cracking down on speeders and careless drivers in lamorinda, given that this is now a 3rd young person vehicular fatality in town the past few months. as you may know, we also had a pedestrian killed by an oakland hills 'executive' in his jag not far from there - he did not even stop to help, and was convicted of covering up the evidence, and recently 'sentenced' as i recall.
i just got back into town last night after 2k on the bike and 2.6k in car and am thankful to be alive myself. riding moraga-berkeley daily, with kids in the local schools, i feel for his parents and friends. my son tells me another vehicle was involved (word on street), but am now aware of an ongoing investigation. were there 3 vehicles invovled?
a makeshift memorial was setup for ryan on the n/w corner of the intersection. i plan to stop by on the way home tonight. is it correct to assume from what i read and see from your photo (were you actually there when it happened?) that he was n/b on moraga road from corliss or moraga way, yes? in the photo, his bike appears to be facing s/b.
3 is more than enough for our little town,
