getting bike running again...help
Can I start by mentioning I am a complete mechanical idiot. Next, I recently got backed into and my '06 F4i spend a few minutes on it's side. I have to replace the exhaust (good excuse for an upgrade). What I was wondering is, the bike won't actually start. I am waiting for Micron to send me an O2 sensor eliminator. Will the bike run with the exhaust off and sensor unattached? Do I need to re-set the bike by unhooking the battery? I haven't checked the spark plugs to see if they are fouled...I should probably do that, too. Suggestions?

Check all the connections.
If you want to fire it, just hook the O2 sensor up, but you don't have to install it in the exhaust. This way that circuit is still completed. I don't have a Cali bike so I can't tell you if it will run right without the O2 hooked up.

So after calling the Honda shop where I bought my bike, they basically scratched their head and told me to bring it in. Anyway, I had everything off the bike, and although the headlight was connected, it was lying in a chair upside down. That is where the tip sensor is, in the headlight assembly. My bike thought it was upside down so it wouldn't start. As soon as I turned it upright, she fired instatly...what an *** I am, but the local Honda guys are even worse (they also want to sell me a pre load spanner wrench for $180.00).
