Default Bike running a lil' hot

Hey I finally got my new CBR1000 on the road yesterday. Its a 1999 model with 7500k on it. In early summer over here so it was a warm night (38c:P) anyway the sun had set so the ride was quite nice, just everytime I pulled up at the lights or rode at a slower speed (under 20kph) the temp really started to go up, the fan came on before it hit the red line and cooled it down, but I was just a little concerned seeing I've read some members say their bikes temp gauges stay in the middle even on the hottest days... I used to have a 1998 ZZR1100 that also used to get hot but not as quickly.

Other than that I love this bike, although the legroom on the fairing is a little poor for such a large machine.

My hurricane is an '88. But mine will get hot really quick too. Especially when I stop. It never over heats it just gets close to the red and stays there until I get moving again. I've been told that it's a common thing with these bikes. So I wouldn't worry too much about it.

Take a look at the thermostat. My bike was running hot too. I put in a new thermostat and now she runs at 1/3 nearly all the time. I live in a hot climate and the traffic is pretty bad during rush hours.
