Default gauges wont work! pls help

just got an f4i today everything was working great before i pulled over and gassed it up, i opened the tank and found that it was still full, closed it and was on my way, i noticed that after i closed the lid, my gauges wouldn't work when i started up the bike and when it was off the fi light remained on and now i'm worried that it would drain the battery! some help would be appreciated.

Is it just your speed that's not being shown? I had that happen to me. Fix was easy though, just repalced the sensor in the tranny. Check to see if the FI light is blinking a code when it goes on. Then repost with the number of flashes, that should give you a good idea of where the problem lies.
