Post Gauge Swap Question

If I bought a new combination meter (gauges) would my bikes mileage show up or would the *used* gauges mileage show up? I want it to be my old gauges mileage for recommended service intervals, no1 seems to get what they want these days though

You will have the new gauges mileage on it.

You can get it changed back to your own mileage but you will have to send it away unless you find someone local.

The price isn't too bad considering I just payed 181 dollars for used gauges, pretty upset though.

Do a search on here IIRC someone used a resistor or something to spin the odometer until the mileage was accurate..

Just make a note on the toolbench and do the math. My guages show 2k extra miles,
over the real bike's. Not a big deal unless you're trying to sell or are really retentive.

just a note for people planning to do an LED color conversion. buy a 15 WATT iron, do not pull the speedometer prematurely or your tracers and spurs will pull with it. and do not use a reball machine. lol lol cost me big money... I'm pretty good at soldering too.
