Default Ok a gauge swap question

Well as driscrided in my previous post I am rebuilding a F4 and upgrading it to appear to be a f4i so I want to do a gauge swap....before you all attack me about the prices of the swap and things I need to change to make it fit....I got my bike for next to nothing because it was missing every plastic and fairing mounts and gauges, and all the relays...So I would've had to buy all of that stuff anyways and it's roughly about $250 more to make it look like a F4i with guages and headlight....than it was to make it a stocker

Does Anyone have pictures of the F4 to F4i gauge install or am I on my own to install it? I know about poteintally having to retap the water sensor hole but could I just get a fuel light sensor from a F4i in use that for the fuel tank?

Any help would be awesome

Goodluck, I asked the same question on here about a month ago, and had a hundred and some views, with no responses. From what I heard, you just follow the color wires, and some need to be grounded. Thats as much info I got about our bikes with the f4i gauges. I guess keep searching.

Good Luck, and if you found out anything please update this thread so I can use the info too.

250 more for the f4i swap...man, I saved money by getting f4i parts over f4 after I wrecked my bike. they are more readily available. Just have to shop right...I got an f4i upper stay for 20 shipped and f4i headlight and gauges for 80.

anyway, yea, pretty much all of the wires translate the same, however just use both wiring schematics found online to cross reference. It took me about 20 minutes

Unfortunately I got my gauges for 150 and my fairing stay for 55....and my f4i subframe cost me alot too ($250) but it came with the batterybox and such...

I unfortunately didnt have the time to wait for the steller deals but hopefully next time I build one I will be able to... but as riding season is upon us I am just trying to get it done and gone.

but I would've paid close to 3/4 for stock parts...but if you happen to have a source of cheap parts please share because ebay and stuntlife are running out of F4i stuff
