Default Gauge Cluster Problems

I'm working through some issues on a 2001 f4i and the gauge cluster is giving me a run for my money i would just replace it but the neutral and Fi light still work. I have no clock, speedo, tach, or temp and the fuses are good i'm just looking for some advice on where to start looking, i'm thinking it could be a grounding issue.

Ground is fine, one wire shared with each circuit. Neutral and FI light works, so ground is fine.

Multiple areas you need to verify.

1. measure power to all indicator and back-light bulbs. Volts = ?

2. if there's power, but bulb doesn't light, remove bulb and measure resistance across legs. Ohms = ???

3. verify wiring to tach not broken. Measure resistance of wiring between tach and ECU. Ohms = ??

4. repeat for other meters

I did end up figuring this out it was the connection in the gauge cluster itself that I’m sure one of the previous owners pulled because the prongs were bent it took 30 minutes of precision bending to actually get them to plug back in but it now works perfectly.

Good spot, well done. Always worth while checking connectors first just in case.
