Default Gas gauge?

Well I have tried searching but no luck. The bike is a 2001 f4i.My gas gauge will not come on, I dont have an owners manual and I am sick of checking the tank every couple hundred miles. Does anyone know if there is something I can do to turn the gas gauge back on. All my other electronic gauges work fine (or so I think). When I start the bike and everything flashes I see where the gas gauge should be, but when the bike is started it goes away. Thanks guys.

FYI
https://cbrforum.com/m_499005/tm.htm

That not a gas gauge, it's a reserve light letting you know your running out of gas.

ORIGINAL: whiteflash

The reserve light comes on when you have 0.98 gallon left in your tank. You will see 4 black bars on the left with a gas light. The top black bar will start blinking once you start using up the left over fuel. It's probably a good thing that you haven't seen this because if you saw the four bar's blinking your walking your happy butt to the gas station
Hope that helps!

This is almost as funny as the bent brake pedal thread. I wondered about both of these questions myself at one time or another.
