I just got the Akra exhaust installed today. It was a bitch getting the old headers off. Had to slide the radiator out of the way.

I got it on though, Sounds mean as hell. I took it for a ride around town for about an hour and I couldnt get enough of the sound.

I programmed the PCIII USB in also.

I tried clutchin up the bike in second like or normally do and it just sat there and roasted the tire, Did it in third and the front came right up.
Definatelly feel the power increase, especially on the highway. After about 7 grand it just jumps right up there.

Great exhaust, if anyone is looking to buy one.
Next investment is going to be a Steering Dampner

So you can feel an honest increase in power over a slipon? You are not reacting to the sound, and there is no chance that it is just perception?

If there is an honest power gain to be had, then I will consider a full system. Probable an Akro or a Micron Serpent system.

 

yea there is an honest power increase...but it's all way up in the RPM band you know? dan's gots -1/+2 so his lowend slop isn't there...but if you have regular gearing and then do it, you'll feel the slop. the bike will rev up faster and after like 9 grand just bone out like bat outta hell.

but i'm sure a lot of what dan's feeling right now is 'love' for the new stuff...but check this...you dump so much weight with the akra ti full system...

 

He only had a STOCK exhaust before the Akrapovic full system

 

Some of it may be the over excited ness but I was in third clutching it up in a staggered wheelie on the highway. Came up there slower than second did but it came up.

I could definately feel it though. OVER STOCK. Never had a slip on exhaust
