Went to my Bros this past weekend, besides getting stuck in the rain, and spending the most boring 45min of my life underneath and overpass i came close to running out of gas. Just to clarify 4 blinking bars means?..... i did a search but hear diff opinions
4 solid bars came up, then top one blinks then top 2 etc. Is the final stage 3 blinking 2 blinking... down to "get you *** to a gas station" w one blinking bar?

 

I have an '06 F4i and 4 blinking bars is the last step befor you have no gas left. Sometimes I'll go 30+miles after the 4 initial solid bars pop up. Also, why were you hiding under an overpass? You used to be a Harley rider didn't you.... =P lol

 

4 blinking bars = trouble (out of fuel)
4 solid bars = 3 litres left

 

Since you know that fuel doesn't magically appear in the tank without your help, any change from when you initially see the reserve bars only means you have less fuel from the last time you looked. Don't run your tank down too low too often, sometimes that leads to issues in the fuel system.

I ran out of gas before. Now when the four bars pop up I go straight to the gas station.

 

I never want to see 4 blinking bars again! damn lucky that day
