Fuel Pump prime with china ignition
Hi guys. I bought a wrecked 2004 F4i for a quick flip (with a clear blue texas title. Its not hot!) but the ignition was destroyed in the accident.
I've read quite a bit on the notorious pink wire problem after trying to wire in a GSXR600 ignition.
After failing with the GSXR ignition, I ordered a China F4i ignition and the problem is still persisting. If i hook the pink wire to a 9v battery, the pump will prime, but with it wired to the new igintion I get nothing except an F1 error code.
Has anyone else expereienced this? Is there a way to fix it without resistors and zener diodes etc?
Any help would be appreciated!
