This Forum is brilliant, I'd wish I'd found it years ago, I currently own an older 1991 CBR 600 FM which I've owned for 14 years, one of the best bike ever made IMO .

The problem I have is; I've recently bought a 2002 CBR 600 F4i, everything seemed to be ok at first but I'm now having problems trying to start it, the Fuel pump doesn't seem to prime when the ignition switched on.

The Speedo runs through its checks as it should, the Starter turns over but the engine just doesn’t start [:@].

Any ideas???

Has it been droped or knocked over if it has toggle the kill switch on and off with the key on to reset the balance censor that was the same problem i had after i layed my bike down but if not check the power to the fuel pump. Then trace back if u have no power to it until u find power.

 

deffinetly check the B.A.S sensor (bank angle sensor , or aka tip over sensor) and the kill switch it self. those seem to be the most common problems when the fuel pump isnt priming.

 

Kickstand switch and wires???

Thanks for the replies, I've tracked it down to the Bank angle sensor.

I've managed to get it started, and purring like a pussycat.
