fuel injection problem...?
alright, i have an 01' f4i. the problem is that every once in a while it will start "sputtering" (hopping/jerking around) as if it were misfiring. i replaced the spark plugs yesterday and the problem persists.
occassionally it will do it so bad that it back fires and my bike stalls. when it starts to jerk a little bit the FI (fuel injection) light comes on. it will go off and on while riding until the bike stalls, back fires, or it will suddenly just stop and the bike rides perfect again.
i thought the new plugs would fix the problem but i guess not. the only other thing that i could think of is it could be the injectors or the fuel pump?
any suggestions?
any help is appreciated. thanks in advance.

Slim, have you checked your battery connections? I had a similar sputtering issue when I was giving it constant throttle. Tightening the connections solved that problem right away. Hopefully it's something that easy.
thanks alot man... i will try it today. i think i might actually go get a new battery anyways because my bike was sitting for 2 months while i did body work and paint. i will try it and post the results.
any other suggestions are appreciated.
thanks
