I don't have a pic and can't get to my bike tonight but I have a small wire that goes from the pinch bolt on the left clip on to the cable. It pulls the cable just a bit, enough to move it out of the line if sight of the speedo.
Someone was making and selling them, but I had a small piece of wire that I bent into shape and it works great. Total cost was zero since I had the wire laying around from another project.

I'll grab a pic tomorrow.

Scott that sounds like a good idea from what I can picture. Looking forward to the pictures on that. I have no problem trying to make something. I tried zip tying it lower down on the cable but that put too much of a bind on it during operation.

Depending on how many miles (how worn) you chain/sprocktes are, usually it is better to replace chain and both sprockets at the same time, so they are worn evenly. Old chain do not match well with new sprocket, might cause premature failure, vice versa with new chain and old sprockets.

The bike has 35k on it and both sprockets and chain are aftermarket. I'm just unsure on the miles on each. Was thinking about replacing all three with this. D.I.D. X-Ring Chain & Sprocket Kit - BikeBandit.com

What do y'all think?

Thanks for that too. I searched but never ran across that thread. Looks like I'll just get used to the cable where it is.

Depending how well you keep up with chain maintenance, some chain/sprocket kits can be found for less than $120.

When replacing the chain/sprocket as a whole, should also consider if you want to convert the 525 series to 520 series, for less overall/rotational weight, last just as long, if you're not popping wheelies all the time.

Here are the pics. I hope they size right, I uploaded them to photobucket from the iPad.

I used the metal from one of the flags the surveyors place in the yard to mark lines. I had some laying around and clipped a piece off, used a set of needle nose to bend it. You don't even have to mess with loosening the bolt, it'll fit right in. Paint might be a good idea. It I put it on and didn't mess with it.
